Description: Light printing or no printing on the left or right side of the label
Causes: Printhead pressure needs adjustment, printhead out of alignment, or toggle in incorrect position.

Display:
Description: Printing too light or too dark over the entire label
Causes: Media or ribbon is not designed for high-speed operation. Incorrect or uneven printhead pressure.

Description: Smudge marks on labels
Causes: Media or ribbon not designed for high-speed operation.

Description: Misregistration/skips labels
Causes: Media sensor not positioned correctly. The print engine not calibrated. Improper label format.

Display:
Description: Misregistration and misprint of one to three labels
Causes: Media sensor is not positioned correctly. The platen roller is dirty. Media does not meet specifications.

Code: 22
Display:
Description: Vertical drift in top-of-form position
Causes: A plus or minus 4 to 6 dot row (approximately 0.5 mm) vertical drift is acceptable due to different tolerances of mechanical parts and print engine modes. The print engine is out of calibration. The platen roller is dirty.

Display:
Description: Vertical image or label drift
Causes: Print engine using noncontinuous labels but configured in continuous mode. Incorrectly positioned media sensor. Improperly calibrated media sensor. The platen roller is dirty. Improper printhead pressure settings (toggles). Improperly loaded ribbon or media. Incompatible media.

Code: 24
Display:
Description: A label format was sent to the print engine but was not recognized. The DATA light does not flash.
Causes: The communication parameters are incorrect.
