Turn the product off and then on. 5. Remove most of the paper from the tray except for a few sheets, and insert the tray into the product. Listen for the sound of the lift motor lifting the paper stack. Also, observe if the paper level indicator moves at the front of the tray. 6. Tray 2 only: If the paper stack in the tray is not being lifted, verify that the lift motor connector is firmly seated in connector J73 on the DC controller PCA. 7. If the error persists, replace the lift motor.
