Causes: • Controller board defective • Update the controller firmware

The optional RAM returned an error during the self-diagnostic test.
Causes: • Replace the optional memory. • Controller board defective
Code: 838
Description: Self-diagnostic Error: Clock Generator
A verify error occurred when setting data was read from the clock generator via the I2C bus.
Causes: • Replace the controller board
Code: 840
Description: EEPROM error 1
During input/output with the EEPROM on the controller board, one of the following errors occurred: • A read error occurred and continued after 3 retries. • A write error occurred.
Causes: • EEPROM defective; replace the controller board • EEPROM has reached the end of its service life
Code: 841
Description: EEPROM error 2
The values read from the three areas during the mirroring check phase did not match. The data is being written into the three areas differently.
Causes: • EEPROM on the control board defective, or has reached the end of its service life. Replace the controller board.
