• Description: Image write start error The paper stopped at the registration sensor and roller for buckle adjustment but the signal to start image writing was not received within 60 sec.

• Description: Software error 1 The software performs an unexpected function and the program cannot continue.
• Causes: • Firmware defective: re-boot • Update firmware
• Remedy: For more information about SC990 and SC991: 1. Execute SP7403 or print an SMC Report (SP5990) to read the history of the 10 most recent logged errors. 2. If you press [0] on the operation panel with the SP selection menu displayed, you will see detailed information about the recently logged SC990 or SC991 errors, including the software file name, line number, and so on. (1) above is the recommended method, because another SC could write over the information for the previous SC.

• Description: Software error 2 The software performs an unexpected function. However, unlike SC990, recovery processing allows the program to continue.
• Causes: Software defective, re-boot
• Remedy: For more information about SC990 and SC991: 1. Execute SP7403 or print an SMC Report (SP5990) to read the history of the 10 most recent logged errors. 2. If you press [0] on the operation panel with the SP selection menu displayed, you will see detailed information about the recently logged SC990 or SC991 errors, including the software file name, line number, and so on. • Description: Erratic SC error There was an unusual operation by the software because of: • An incorrect argument in the program. • An incorrect internal parameter. • Work memory not sufficient. • An error occurred that could not be detected by other SC codes.
• Causes: • Turn the main power switch off/on. • Go into the SP mode. Do SP7901 to display details about SC992 (software file name, line number, and variable), and inform your supervisor of the results.
